Bayern can dominate from the outset

Ten-time consecutive Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich opened up the gap at the top of the table at the expense of Werder Bremen in the last round and they can consolidate that lead even further with yet another victory here.

With an incredible nine-game winning run in all competitions in the bag, Bayern Munich look to keep their title push going with yet another dominant display against a Schalke side that look doomed to another trying campaign.

Each of Bayern’s eight league wins came with a half-time lead whilst all but one also saw 2+ goal margin at full-time, so if they win, they will likely win well. That’s not to mention the fact that Bayern have won at both HT/FT in each of the last ten competitive meetings with Schalke!

Another tough day at the office for Schalke

Although Schalke ended a club record run of seven straight top-flight defeats with a 1-0 victory over Mainz in midweek, this looks to be a much tougher proposition for the rock-bottom relegation battlers.
