Rams can add to Owls woes

Rock bottom Sheffield Wednesday host mid-table Derby County in the Championship on Monday and a win for the visitors looks likely.

The Rams have been better on their travels this term, their 16th in the league overall but have the eighth best away record, and they face an Owls side destined for the drop.

Wednesday, who are on -9 points after an 18 point deduction, have managed just one win in 19 attempts in the Championship – losing 12.

The Owls are on a 13-game winless run and had lost four in a row before an unlikely 1-1 draw at Watford last time out, in a game where they defended in numbers.

Derby won at Sheffield United, Blackburn and Swansea in November and they should be able to come away from Hillsborough with maximum points.

Wednesday have conceded exactly three goals in three of their last five games so a 3-1 win for the visitors seems a reasonable correct score prediction. The home side have only failed to score in one of their last four home games and the Rams have conceded in six consecutive road games, so the home side may at least be able to record a consolation effort.
