Stoke showing signs of revival

Few would have expected Stoke to go to Hull and win on Friday, but they did just that, picking up a valuable 2-0 success that moved them five points clear of the relegation zone.

Steven Schumacher may finally be striking a tune out of his new side, as they have won three of their last five games, and four of their last eight, with three of the defeats during that time coming to teams in the promotion race.

They will be hopeful of racking up another three points here, at a ground where they have recently beaten Middlesbrough and QPR, will also winning each of the last three head-to-heads.

Huddersfield in serious trouble

A 3-1 defeat at home to Coventry on Friday provided Huddersfield with a further blow in their battle against the drop, as they missed out on the chance to move out of the bottom three.

The Terriers are now winless in five matches, losing three of them, while one of the two draws was a 0-0 stalemate against a Rotherham side who are destined for the drop.

On the road, things have not been much better. André Breitenreiter’s side are on a run of only one victory in their last 11 away trips, losing on five occasions.
