Valencia vs Eibar Predictions

From a neutral perspective, Valencia have been a great side to watch this season with a massive 84% of their league games producing goals at both ends, a figure which jumps to 88% when only counting games at the Mestalla. That strongly points towards both teams netting here but with Los Che finally showing signs that they’ve sorted themselves out, a home win looks the most likely outcome.

Valencia have scored a very respectable 1.53 goals per game this term in La Liga and they’ve scored at least once in all of their last 16 matches in all competitions. Their attacking threat was further boosted by the loan signings of Italian forward Simone Zaza and Chilean winger Fabián Orellana in January and they really do boast lots of ways that they could hurt Eibar here.

With striker Munir suspended following a red card, which cost his team dear, at Las Palmas on Monday, at least one of the new arrivals should start here. However, their main goal threat in recent games has been Santi Mina who has been used in the central role up front. The youngster has scored in all of Valencia’s last 3 matches and therefore backing Santi Mina to score anytime at 13/8 looks to offer value here.

Eibar are enjoying a decent campaign and are certainly capable of posing a few problems of their own. Both teams have scored in a massive 89% of their away fixtures in La Liga this term, which is another very strong indicator that there will be goals at both ends. They are yet to keep an away clean sheet though and have conceded 1.78 goals per game on their travels which suggests they may struggle to cope with Valencia’s attacking threat.

Their away record on the face of it isn’t terrible given they’ve won 4 times on the road this term in all competitions. However, all of those 4 wins were against sides currently in the Primera Division relegation zone. Against sides not in the drop-zone they’ve collected only 3 points from 7 away games in the league and with Valencia looking much-improved under Voro, backing Valencia To Win & Both Teams To Score at 13/5 looks like a cracking bet here.
