      Brescia vs Juventus Predictions

Juventus sit second in Serie A despite an underwhelming start as far as their performances are concerned. That was the case again at the weekend, as they were left holding on at home to Verona. Maurizio Sarri hasn’t had the greatest return to Serie A, but he has a chance for another three points as Juve clash with another newly-promoted side on Tuesday.

Brescia’s fine start to the season continued on Saturday, with the club claiming a vital 1-0 win at Udinese to move into the top half. That made it two wins from three for Brescia, who face just their second home game of the season. This one has the potential to be special for the hosts. Not only are they meeting the champions, but this clash should bring the debut of a certain Mario Balotelli.

Juventus come into this one with the pressure on to up their game. Their Champions League slip along with some less than stellar league displays mean that Sarriball isn’t looking great in Turin. The Old Lady were outplayed in a recent draw at Fiorentina, while they shaded the clash with Verona in xG terms by just 0.02 of a goal.

Sarri obviously needs time with this group, while there was an encouraging start for new signing Aaron Ramsey. His debut goal equalised against Verona, while he added a little more passing ability to the Juve midfield. He should continue to drive Juve forward, but their issues at the back remain up in the air.

The visitors have lost Leonardo Bonucci, while they are having bedding in issues with Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral. The latter conceded a reckless penalty at the weekend, while de Ligt has looked like a liability so far. With their central defence exposed, there are problems for Sarri to sort. However, this feels like the perfect situation for Balotelli’s debut.

Brescia are a side who can score goals. They have looked tighter in trips to Milan and Udinese, but at home they have been involved in two thrillers. They beat Frosinone 3-2 before a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Bologna. Meanwhile, Juventus have conceded six times in four games, which has left them looking vulnerable.

With Brescia boosted by their new arrival up front, we expect them to score in this clash. Both teams to score is our tip for the second of Tuesday’s Serie A doubleheader, while we’re backing a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
