Morecambe vs Swindon Predictions

Hopes were not exactly high for Morecambe at the start of the campaign as many tipped them for the drop, and their early season form has suggested those fears were well founded. However, the Shrimps have the opportunity to kick start their season this weekend when they welcome a Swindon Town side who themselves have had a frustrating start to the season.

The tone for Morecambe’s season was set on the very first day of the campaign as they were on the end of a heavy 6-0 defeat to Crewe Alexandra. Further defeats to Exeter, Stevenage, Oldham, and Bury have shown that they are a long way off the level required to survive this year and it looks as if they are in for a long hard season.

Making the trip to Globe Arena is a Swindon Town side who have had a pretty frustrating start to the campaign so far. Hopes of a spot in the play-offs come the end of the season will have been high and if they are to achieve those aims then they will need to improve on a recent run of results which has seen them only manage to claim a share of the spoils in each of their last three league matches.

With the form of the hosts, it is hard to make a case for them to win this match. Their chances of a victory are not helped when you consider that they have only managed to claim a single point in their previous five meetings with Swindon. However, before you go all in on an away win there is a note of caution. The fact that the visitors have only managed to draw their previous three in the league suggests to us that adding the ‘Draw – No Bet’ clause is the wisest course of action to take.
