What is outright betting?
While match betting takes in the 90 minutes (or longer in cup competitions) of the game, outright betting can cover an entire season. The most popular market tends to be the title winner, but bookmakers price up a wide range of markets during the season.
You can back teams for relegation, promotion or to finish in a certain position in the table. These markets tend to run through the season and shift based on results week-to-week, but they’re most popular ahead of the start of the new season.

What kind of football specials are available?
You can also back a range of other football specials, from transfers to manager sackings. During transfer windows, major players and those rumoured for big moves usually have markets around their next club, while you can back the next manager to leave their job in the Premier League.
Can I combine outright bets?
Outright bets can be combined across leagues, although some bookmakers won’t let you combine bets within the same market – say a treble on teams to be relegated.
However, you can back the winners of multiple leagues or bet on a range of teams to be relegated from their divisions.
