Bayer Leverkusen to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Bayer Leverkusen, who have won 13 of their last 14 games in all competitions, are in such good form that they cannot fail with such huge motivation to wrap up the Bundesliga title in front of their own fans.  Werder Bremen have lost four of their last five Bundesliga matches and appear to be in a rut. Goals should flow too with at least three goals having been scored in six of Leverkusen’s last eight home games.

8/15odds when tipped

Bayer Leverkusen 2-1

Reason for tip

There has been an average of 3.29 goals per game at BayArena this term and over 2.5 goals bets have landed in 79% of Leverkusen home affairs. This one could finish 2-1 with Leverkusen happy to win whichever way they can and recently susceptible to conceding in the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Werder Bremen Predictions

  • Bayer Leverkusen have won 13 of their last 14 games in all competitions
  • Werder Bremen have lost four of their last five Bundesliga matches
  • At least three goals have been scored in six of Leverkusen’s last eight home games

History beckons for Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen can clinch their first Bundesliga title with a victory over Werder Bremen at BayArena on Sunday. And there appears to be little anyone can do to stop Xabi Alonso’s side in their current mood.

Die Werkself racked up their seventh consecutive win in all competitions on Thursday when they overcame West Ham 2-0 in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final. There was little between the sides for the most part, but Leverkusen wins have an air of inevitability about them at the moment.

Alonso will make a number of changes again on Sunday, but the Spaniard’s rotation policy has worked very well all season. Victor Boniface, who grabbed a goal off the bench against the Hammers, could be in line to start his first Bundesliga game since December and it would be no surprise to see the Nigerian get on the scoresheet.

Bang-average Bremen in a rut

Werder Bremen have been a bang-average Bundesliga side this term, but their results have recently taken a turn downhill.  Ole Werner’s side picked up only their second point in six games last weekend with a 1-1 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt.

That was not a bad result on the face of it but Frankfurt also slipped up against Augsburg recently and Leverkusen are in a class of their own in Germany right now.

A home win is to be expected and over three goals in the game looks likely too. There has been an average of 3.29 goals per game at BayArena this term and over 2.5 goals bets have landed in 79% of Leverkusen home affairs.
