Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in 12 of Bodo/Glimt’s 15 Europa League games this season and they face a Tottenham side who, despite their poor form, have scored in each of their last eight competitive games.

Bodo Glimt 2-1

Reason for tip

Bodo/Glimt have won their last eight home games in all competitions, including a shock win over Lazio. They scored two goals in that fixture and beat Besiktas 2-1 here earlier this season, while Tottenham have lost seven of their last ten away matches.

Bodo Glimt vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in 12 of Bodo/Glimt’s 15 Europa League games this season.
  • Bodo/Glimt have won their last eight competitive home games.
  • Tottenham have scored in their last eight competitive fixtures.

Hosts to make things interesting in Bodo

Bodo/Glimt were overrun at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week as they fell to a 3-1 loss against Spurs, but the Norwegians have shown much more of their ability back in Bodo and may be able to make things competitive in this Europa League semi-final second leg.

The Norwegian Eliteserien reigning champions have won their last eight competitive home games, including shock wins against Besiktas, FC Twente, Olympiakos, and, most notably, Lazio.

That being said, the defensive fragility that allowed Tottenham to notch three in the capital last week remains. They have only kept three clean sheets in 15 Europa League ties this season, so Ange Postecoglou’s side should get on the scoresheet after notching in each of their last eight in all competitions.

Spurs’ rocky domestic form continues, though. They have only won two of their last ten games and have lost seven of their last ten away games, so Bodo/Glimt could keep things interesting on Thursday. The hosts have scored exactly twice in two of their last five Europa League home games, so a repeat of their 2-1 win over Besiktas could be in store.
