Crystal Palace vs Norwich Predictions
Crystal Palace managed to salvage a draw at Upton Park last weekend, with a little help from a controversial refereeing decision. Either way, it could prove a vital point come the end of the season given their form over the last few months.
They haven’t won in the Premier League since the middle of December, with nine of their 14 league matches since then ending in defeat. An FA Cup semi final won’t count for much if they end up relegated to the Championship.
Crystal Palace are even worse at Selhurst Park. They have lost six Premier League matches on the bounce at home coming into this match, a run which has helped their slide down the table. They were in with a shout of challenging for Europe at one point, and now they find themselves just seven points clear of the relegation zone in 16th position.
Norwich sit just below them in the table with 31 points, and a win on Saturday would take them level on points with the out of form Palace. The visitors are in much better form as well, and their dramatic 3-2 win over fellow relegation candidates Newcastle will have boosted their confidence enormously.
This saw Norwich pick up back to back wins in the Premier League for the first time in 2016 and only the second time this season, and the Canaries will feel relatively confident of their chances of staying in the top flight for another season.
Norwich’s increased confidence and improved form should be able to carry them through against Palace on Saturday. The hosts are in awful form and just look incapable of picking up a win, especially at Selhurst Park, so odds of 4/5 for a Norwich Win or Draw Double Chance look excellent value. I’m backing Norwich to get the win as well, and a 1-0 correct score prediction looks good at 10/1.
