Deportivo La Coruna vs Real Betis Predictions

This games sees two sides in the bottom half of La Liga clash but we’ve seen enough from both and enough bad things from the bottom three to suggest neither will be involved in the relegation scrap. Betis have really improved since changing their coach and they look capable of getting a result here, although there should be chances in it for both teams.

They’ve been much tougher to beat since Víctor Sánchez took charge and he’ll be eager to prove a point as he returns to the club that sacked him at the end of last term. Betis performed very well against Barcelona last weekend and were full value for their point, despite the goal-line controversy. They’ve since added Ruben Pardo on loan from Real Sociedad and he should bring some much needed creativity to the middle of the park.

While it’s true that most of their positive results have come at home, they do have two away wins to their name in La Liga this term. However, they are yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels, which is a worry and strongly points towards Depor netting at some point here.

The hosts are without a win in 6 matches in all competitions but by the same token they’ve only lost 1 of their last 8. The reason for both stats is that they’ve been drawing a lot of games and in another game that looks tough to call, it’d be no surprise to see a repeat here. They do have some of their more creative players back which is a big boost and they should pose problems for the side from Seville. Striker Florin Andone is in fine form with 7 goals in his last 12 appearances and backing Andone to score anytime at 15/8 looks a good bet here.

However, both teams have scored in 6 of Depor’s last 7 matches and in 67% of their home games in La Liga this season. They’ve only kept 2 clean sheets in their last 20 matches in all competitions and given that backing Both Teams to Score at Evens looks like it offers real value here.
