Derby vs Swansea City Predictions

Go for goals at both ends at Pride Park

Derby have scored in 11 successive Championship games and both sides have found the net in Derby’s last five matches. Back both teams to get on the scoresheet when they meet Swansea at Pride Park on Saturday.

They finished eighth in the league last season, with 69 points from 20 wins, nine draws and 17 losses, while Swansea ended up in 11th place, six points behind the hosts. They won 18 games, drew ten and lost 18.

Swansea are hard to beat, having avoided defeat in eight of their last nine Championship games, while Derby are without a win in three. However, Derby have won their last two clashes with these opponents.

Derby recovered from a two-goal deficit to share the points with Cardiff in a 2-2 draw in their last Championship game, with Carlton Morris and Bobby Clark on the scoresheet. They were priced as 21/20 favourites to win but were unable to reward their backers.

Both sides have scored in seven of Swansea’s last nine Championship matches and Derby’s last five. In fact, 30 of Derby’s 46 league games last season saw both teams score.

Both teams are struggling defensively. Derby have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last nine Championship games, while Swansea have conceded on each of their last three road trips.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Derby won 2-0 last time they met Swansea in the Championship but both sides scored in four of the previous six.
