      QPR to Win

      Reason for tip

QPR impressed when beating Portsmouth 3-1 in their opening league fixture of the season, and while they were held to a 0-0 draw by Bolton last weekend, Rangers were clearly the better side. The Rs are fancied to win at Ewood Park.

      QPR 2-1

      Reason for tip

All of Blackburn’s four matches this season have gone over 2.5 goals and both teams have found the net in each of those games. QPR can win 2-1 at Ewood Park.

      Blackburn Rovers vs QPR Predictions

      • QPR won the shot count 18-2 in a 0-0 draw with Bolton last weekend
      • All of Blackburn’s four matches this season have gone over 2.5 goals
      • Both teams have scored in all of Blackburn’s four games this term

Hoops can run rings around Rovers

QPR made an excellent start to the Championship campaign when beating Portsmouth 3-1 on the south coast, and with Pompey going on to hammer Lincoln 3-1 on the road, that is looking like a strong performance.

Rangers were unable to follow up against Bolton last weekend, but there was little wrong with the performance and it was just a case of the Hoops failing to find a breakthrough.

The west Londoners won the shot count 18-2 and created an expected goals figure of 1.82 against the Trotters, and on another day, QPR would have been comfortable winners.

The Rs limited Bolton to xG figures of only 0.19 and that was the smallest number across the entire EFL last weekend.

Clearly, Bolton’s lack of attacking intent played a part in that effort, but Julien Stephan’s men also controlled the game and defended extremely well.

Rangers can call on Rumarn Burrell, Richard Kone, Ilias Chair and Koki Saito in attack, which suggests they have goals in their team and QPR should have enough quality to beat Blackburn on Saturday.

Rovers rode their luck in a 2-2 draw with Wolves and 2-1 success against Middlesbrough and the good fortune may have run out for Tony Mowbray’s men.
