      Frosinone vs Juventus Predictions

It’s been far from quiet at Juventus of late. The last week has brought a spitting scandal, the maiden brace of their record signing’s time in Italy and an incredibly dubious sending off. Of course, they also saw an impressive 2-0 win at Valencia, which has the Old Lady in a dominant position in their Champions League group. They twist their focus back to domestic action this weekend, where Cristiano Ronaldo’s harsh red card won’t be a factor. Can he lead them to a win over Frosinone?

The hosts are currently in the bottom three, having picked up just a single point this season. That one point came against Bologna, the only other side to have claimed a single point in their opening four matches. That awful return has left the newly promoted side in big trouble, and that came against more middling opposition. This time around, Frosinone are taking on champions Juventus, a clash which many anticipate, but it can’t be easy for the players.

Frosinone face a tall order in this clash, as Juve showed us in midweek. They beat Valencia 2-0 with just 10 men, doing their hopes of winning the competition no harm whatsoever. The Italian champions won’t be laying off their Scudetto push despite their European ambitions. They have made a perfect start to the current Serie A campaign, as they search for their eighth straight domestic title. So far Juve haven’t handed out any major thrashings in the league, but could that change this weekend?

Wednesday’s win was such a huge boost that we can’t write it off. On top of that, there’s such an obviously gulf in class here that this meeting is unlikely to be close. The hosts have yet to score since returning to Serie A, while they’ve had some heavy defeats. Their home clash last weekend saw them hammered 5-0 by Sampdoria, while Atalanta beat them 4-0 earlier this term.

Juventus have more than enough quality up front to run riot here. They’ve won to nil in their two recent trips to this ground, while they’re starting to open up a little more going forward. The hosts have lost 14-0 across their last five Serie A games, and now they meet the best side in the division. We think it’s worth going with Juventus on a -2 handicap here, as we see them winning this clash by at least three goals on Sunday night.
