Fulham vs Burton Albion Predictions
Fulham made a flying start to the season, going unbeaten in their 7 games before the international break. However, they received their first real setback of the season on Saturday when Birmingham won 1-0 at Craven Cottage. They’ll no doubt look upon Michael Madl’s 1st Half red card as the turning point in the game and it’s important they get back on track here you feel to keep that momentum going. All their games this season have been tight affairs settled by at most 1 goal and, prior to the Birmingham game, there had been late winners or equalisers in all of their previous 4 matches in league and cup.
Burton will come here believing they can get a result and why not given the way they’ve started! They’ve already beaten Derby and Sheffield Wednesday at home, two sides that made the top six last term and picked up a point in a tough away game against Wolves on Saturday. That came via a 90th minute equaliser from William Miller and they’ve scored inside the last two minutes in all of their three away games this season, so there is certainly potential for a late goal or two in this one.
Burton’s approach so far has been refreshing and they’ve certainly not just shut up shop and tried to keep things tight in their first ever season at this level. Only two Championship sides have scored more goals than Burton so far this season and they’ve netted at least once in every game. They have conceded 7 goals in their 3 away games though and Fulham will surely look to take the game to them here, so we should see a few goals in this one.
Therefore, backing Both Teams to Score at 4/5 looks to offer value here in what should be a good contest.
