Hearts vs Inverness CT Predictions
- Already-qualified Hearts are 12 games unbeaten against Inverness CT in all competitions.
- Inverness CT drew with League Two Stirling Albion and lost to League One Cove Rangers.
- Neilson’s men are currently on a run of eight games without defeat and without conceding.
Jambos too strong for ailing Inverness CT
Hearts are already through to the second round of the League Cup, but manager Robbie Neilson is not thinking about anything other than another win against Inverness CT on Sunday.
The Jambos are on a terrific run of wins (six in the last seven) and clean sheets (eight in a row in competitive matches).
Neilson will keep changes to a minimum for the visit of struggling Inverness CT in order to maintain some momentum.
John Souttar got a kick late on in their 2-0 win at Stirling but is fine, while Armand Gnaduillet returned to the side as a substitute in midweek.
Jamie Walker’s fitness is being managed and back-up right-back Cammy Logan has been limited in training because of a back issue.
Inverness CT have really slumped after beginning their League Cup campaign with a competent 2-0 win over Peterhead.
They lost a shootout to League Two opposition and were then beaten 3-1 by a League One side to pile on the ignominy.
Hearts are probably the last team they want to be facing right now given the Edinburgh club are undefeated in their last 12 meetings and trounced them 3-0 at Tynecastle in April.
This should be routine stuff for the Premiership club and we are taking Hearts to progress with a ninth clean sheet in a row 2-0.
