      Huddersfield vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

Both sides have picked up some encouraging recent results and should come into the game full of confidence and looking for the win. Huddersfield have won their last two in the league, dispatching Charlton 2-1 at the Valley prior to a crushing 4-1 home win over a Bolton side who hadn’t been conceding too many.

You’d certainly fancy them to score against a Nottingham Forest side who have been conceding goals and have only kept 2 clean sheets in their 9 games so far this season and just 1 in their last 8 Championship away games. Encouragingly for them that was their last road trip in the league when they secured an impressive 1-0 win at Birmingham, following on from a 2-1 win at QPR just a few days previously.

They’ll be looking to make it a 3rd straight away league win for the first time in 30 months on Thursday and the confidence they should have gained in their last two games on the road should stand them in good stead here and they’ll fancy this despite Huddersfield’s recent upturn in form.

Therefore we can certainly see a more open game than what might have transpired had this taken place a few weeks ago. Both teams have scored and conceded in 5 of their last 7 matches and we can see that being the case again here at 8/11.

It’s hard to really confidently back either side in this game though. Huddersfield had only won once in 9 Championship outings at the John Smith’s Stadium prior to their win over Bolton. Meanwhile Forest have been very inconsistent so far and have won just 3 of their previous 16 league games, although they have all come this season.

Were in not for the last two Huddersfield performances, you might have fancied Forest to come here and chalk up another win on the road but the Terriers all of a sudden look like a side playing with belief and enough quality to suggest they are good enough to avoid a relegation scrap and certainly get something out of this game.

Therefore consider backing this one to finish all square at 1-1, a result which probably wouldn’t be considered a disaster by either manager. You can back that to be the case at 5/1.
