      Huddersfield vs Middlesbrough Predictions

It has been a difficult start to life in English football for new Huddersfield boss David Wagner. He has lost both matches so far and pretty convincingly too with a 3-0 defeat at home to Leeds followed up by a 3-1 loss at Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

This will be his toughest match yet and they will have to be much improved defensively to stand a chance of getting something from the game. The Terriers are only currently outside the relegation zone on goals scored and have taken just 1 point from their last 5 Championship matches.

Middlesbrough meanwhile are just 2 points and 2 places off top spot and have won 5 of their last 6 matches in all competitions. They’ve struggled at times on the road though with recent defeats coming at Hull, Reading and Cardiff.

However all those sides are in the top 10 and are a much superior to an out-of-sorts Huddersfield team. Middlesbrough have at times put in some commanding away performances this term including 3-1 wins at Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday and have shown they are capable of winning games on the road so at 21/20 they look good value to win this one against struggling opposition.

When they are at their best there are plenty of goals in this Boro side and with Huddersfield leaking goals, the Teesiders could get plenty of chances here. Therefore odds of 16/1 look very appealing for Huddersfield to concede 3 for the 3rd match running and for Middlesbrough to again win 3-1 on the road.
