Tip Reasoning

  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in four of Huddersfield’s last six games.
  • Eight of Millwall’s last 10 games have seen under 2.5 goals scored.
  • Huddersfield have three clean sheets in their last four games, and two of those games have ended 0-0.

Goals could be at a premium in West Yorkshire

Huddersfield and Milwall meet in the Championship on Saturday and we could be in line for a low scoring affair at the Kirklees Stadium.

Huddersfield saw a four-game unbeaten run ended in a 3-0 defeat at leaders Bournemouth last time out, while Millwall go into this game in good form with four wins in their last five games.

Huddersfield have been strong at home with four wins in their last six so picking an outright winner is a tricky task, but it doesn’t look like there will be too many goals in this particular Championship contest and under 2.5 goals is the main bet for this fixture.

Huddersfield’s unbeaten run prior to the loss to Bournemouth, who look the best team in the league by some distance at present, was built on solid defensive foundations and they managed three successive clean sheets until coming unstuck against the Cherries.

There have been three goals in each of Millwall’s last two games, 2-1 wins over Sheffield United (a) and Stoke (h), but none of their eight games prior to that yielded more than two goals and only two of their away games this season have seen over 2.5 goals scored.

Millwall have only lost one of their seven away games and there is a chance the two teams may cancel each other out here. The Terriers have four clean sheets in their seven home games and Millwall have conceded just twice in their last four away fixtures, so a 0-0 result has some appeal in the correct score market.
