Leeds to Win

Reason for tip

Leeds have the best home record in the division and are yet to lose at Elland Road in the Championship this season. After being held to a goalless draw by Sunderland in mid-week, the Whites will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways and could get a valuable three points on Saturday.

Leeds 2-0

Reason for tip

The reverse fixture in December ended 2-0 and a repeat win for Leeds could be on the cards given that Blackburn are struggling for victories, with just one win on the road since November.

Leeds vs Blackburn Rovers Predictions

  • Leeds failed to take top spot after drawing with Sunderland in mid-week
  • Blackburn have won just one of their last eleven on the road
  • The Whites were 2-0 victors in the reverse fixture back in December

Win can spark title charge for Farke

Leeds have suffered a slight dip in form as of late but can return to winning ways when they host a Blackburn side still in with a chance of relegation.

The Whites suffered their first defeat of the season at Coventry last weekend before Tuesday night’s goalless draw with Sunderland handed the advantage to Ipswich and Leicester, with the Foxes still a point ahead of Leeds with a game in hand.

Blackburn meanwhile are having real issues in turning draws into wins, with seven of their last ten Championship fixtures ending all square prior to their mid-week meeting with Bristol City, while their record at Elland Road does not make for positive viewing with their last victory here coming in 2015.

Leeds have to get back to winning ways in order to keep their hopes of automatic promotion alive and they should be able to keep out the Blackburn attack providing star striker Sammie Szmodics has a quiet day at the office. A 2-0 win for the hosts draws appeal in what could be a repeat result for Daniel Farke’s men.
