We use stars to rate our confidence in our tips, with 3 being most confident to 1 being the least.
Bristol City 1-0 @ 22/1

Reason For Leeds vs Bristol City Predictions

  • Leeds have won 1 of their last 8 games.
  • Bristol City have won 6 of their last 8 league games.
  • The hosts have secured only 3 wins in 11 attempts against the top 8.
  • The Robins have won 1-0 in 3 of their last 5 matches.

Another Leeds Collapse?

The Championship may be full of on-form, impressive sides but all anyone wants to talk about is Leeds. Marcelo Bielsa’s men have won one of their last eight games in all competitions, which has left them in line for another dramatic collapse.

A midweek draw with Brentford has left just two points between second-placed Leeds and Nottingham Forest in fifth. Given that pressure, the last thing Leeds need now is an in-form Bristol City side to visit Elland Road.

High-flying Visitors

The Robins are on the edge of the playoffs, with their fine form taking them into seventh. The Robins top the league’s form table over the last eight games – with Leeds in 18th. In that time, the visitors have claimed six victories and five clean sheets.

That run has boosted Lee Johnson’s men and it has put them into the playoff race. They now head into this weekend’s meeting on a high, especially with Leeds feeling the pressure of past failings. Could the Robins follow up on their fine form and add to the hosts’ run of one win in five at home?

Robins to Press Advantage

While Bristol City are in fine form, Leeds have seen their record dip. With just one victory in their last seven league games, the hosts are lucky to still be in the top two. They come into this game not too far above the seventh-placed Robins, while Leeds have managed to secure three wins in 11 clashes with the current top eight.

With Leeds in poor shape, we think this is Bristol City’s chance to take advantage. The visitors’ recent defensive form should see them hold out at a team who are struggling for goals, so we are going with Bristol City to avoid defeat as our pick for this clash.

While we’ve backed either a Bristol City win or draw in this trip, their recent form has seen them bag plenty of wins. With five victories in six in the Championship and three straight away wins behind them, the Robins are in great form. Following home losses to Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday, we’re backing Leeds to lose to nil here. Bristol City have three 1-0 wins in their last five matches, so we’re going with a repeat of that scoreline for the visitors.
