Liverpool vs Everton Betting Tips & Predictions

Liverpool continued their excellent run of form on Sunday as they strolled to a comfortable 2-1 win at Bournemouth. This made it three wins in a row for Liverpool and just one defeat in their last ten matches in all competitions.

Not only has this run strengthened their challenge for a European qualification position in the Premier League, but it has also seen them progress to the Europa League semi-final thanks to a typical and heroic comeback against Borussia Dortmund.

The incredible result at Anfield will live long in the memories of the Kop faithful, and I would expect the confidence brought on by that will be flowing through the veins of the Liverpool players for quite some time.

Everton could do with an injection of some confidence themselves. They haven’t won in six Premier League matches following their 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday, with three defeats and three draws giving them a measly return of three points from a possible 18.

This leaves Everton down in 11th position in the Premier League and Roberto Martinez with a lot of pressure on his shoulders. If it wasn’t for his FA Cup run I think he would be out of the door.

At Anfield Liverpool are looking very good at the moment. They have won four and drawn one of their last five matches there, scoring 14 goals in the process and conceding five.

Of course, anything can happen in a derby, but I think the smart money will be on the hosts on Wednesday. Odds of 4/5 for a Liverpool win look good value to me, and I’m going for a 2-0 correct score prediction at 17/2 as well.
