Luton vs Arsenal Predictions
- Arsenal have won their last five games.
- Luton have only failed to score in one home games this season.
- The Hatters haven’t lost by more than one goal at home.
Pacesetters head to Hatters
Arsenal have won their last five games across all competitions and lead the way in the Premier League ahead of their trip to Luton on Tuesday.
The Gunners are the heavy favourites here, but at Kenilworth Road Luton have shown they are capable of testing the big guns and this may not be quite as straightforward as the odds suggest for Mikel Arteta’s men.
A Gunners shut-out looks unlikely
Luton have taken a point against Liverpool at this ground and pushed Spurs all the way in a 1-0 defeat. Arsenal should still be expected to win as there is clearly a gulf in class between these two sides and the visitors arrive in form, but Luton can keep things competitive and an away win with both teams to score looks a good option for our main bet.
The Hatters have scored in six of their seven home games in all competitions and have hit six goals in total in six home league games. Arsenal managed three clean sheets in their first three away league games but have conceded in two of their last three trips, shipping three goals in total, and they’ve managed just one shut-out in their last five domestic games.
Luton should be fired up for this fixture, and they can at least get on the scoresheet even if taking any points looks unlikely.
Odegaard a goal contender
A 2-1 win for Arsenal is the correct score prediction as only one of their six wins away from home this season has been by more than one goal in all competitions, while Luton are yet to be beaten by more than one goal in front of their own fans since promotion – and the last time they lost by two or more goals at home came way back in August 2021.
Martin Odegaard was on target for Arsenal in their win over Wolves at the weekend and has now scored in back to back games after a brief spell on the sidelines. The Norwegian has three goals in his last four appearances for the Gunners and can add to his four Premier League goals at Luton in midweek.
