Both these sides have flirted with trouble at various stages this season but both have come out the other side of their tough spells. They were 2-1 winners at home to Athletic Bilbao last time out and have been doing a bit better on the road in recent weeks with most of their worst beatings this season actually coming at home.

There isn’t a great deal at stake here in truth although Espanyol still have some work to do to guarantee their safety. Malaga are solid rather than spectacular and at times struggle to break teams down. They’d gone 5 matches without a win prior to their last 2 games and with Espanyol playing their best football of the season right now, the visitors are very capable of getting a result so consider backing Double Chance – Draw or Espanyol at 19/20. The Catalans also have a fine recent record against Malaga so the head-t0-head results also support that idea.
