Napoli vs Lazio Predictions

Napoli have won their last three home games and should be backed to get the better of Lazio at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday.

They are second in Serie A, seven places and 22 points above Lazio, with both teams having won more games than they’ve lost this season. This season, 35 (46%) of the 76 games between teams in the top half of the table have been home wins, and backing them to a one-point level stake would have shown a profit of 7.15 points.

Napoli are in fine fettle, having lost just one of their last ten Serie A games, a 3-1 defeat away to Atalanta in February. They have won five of their last six at home and have gone 26 games unbeaten on their own patch.

It would be no surprise to see Napoli find the net, having scored two or more goals in 17 of their 32 Serie A games this season. They have also averaged 1.83 goals a game in their six home matches against other top-half teams.

The hosts are the most profitable home team in Serie A this season. Backing Napoli to a one-point level stake in all their home games would have shown a profit of 4.94 units.

The visitors have been struggling to find the back of the net on their travels this season. Lazio have scored just 10 goals in 16 away games so far, an average of 0.63 goals a game, and they have failed to score in four of their last six on the road.

The visitors have looked vulnerable at the back, with Lazio failing to keep a clean sheet in four of their last six Serie A games.

Napoli to win 1-0 at home looks a decent correct-score bet. Four of the last six Serie A meetings between these sides have finished with under 2.5 goals and Napoli have been 1-0 winners in two of their last three league games. Lazio also lost 1-0 to Fiorentina in their last Serie A game.
