Can Napoli bounce back?

Serie A pace-setters Napoli lost 3-1 to Lazio in the Coppa Italia in midweek, but it is difficult to look too much into that result, given they rested a number of their first team stars.

With those key players back in the line-up, they are expected to bounce back to winning ways at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, where they have picked up six victories in seven attempts this season.

The only loss during that period came to second placed Atalanta last month, whereas Roma, Parma and Bologna are among the teams to leave empty handed.

Lazio’s away form remains a concern

Their visitors will attempt to avoid following the same fate, but their away form is a worry, as they have lost four times in just seven matches on the road this season.

Two of those defeats have come against teams around them in the table, Fiorentina and Juventus, which asks questions as to how they can perform against Serie A’s top ranked clubs.

There are also fears that Marco Baroni’s side have maybe just dropped a little off their peak level, after a seven-game winning run was following by a 0-0 draw with Ludogorets and 3-1 reversal to Parma.
