Pescara vs Bologna Predictions
This clash pits the second worst home record in Serie A against the second worst away. This is the movable object against a very resistible force. At least one of them will have the chance to improve their dismal record in this clash, it’s a rare game where they are on equal footing with their opponent.
Both are desperate for points in their fight against relegation, but can they pick up a much needed victory here? It’s hard to see that happening, when you look at their record coming in. Pescara have failed to win any of their home matches this season, while Bologna are yet to claim a victory on their travels. Can either of these two end their wait for a victory, or will they inevitably end up sharing the points, failing to win once again?
It’s hard to see either walking away with three points, because neither look like they can get the goals necessary to claim a win here. One thing these two share is a really poor scoring record so far this term. Pescara have a scoring ratio of 0.63 goals per game at home this term. The away side average less than a goal per game.
Pescara have failed to score in 50% of their home matches this season, while Bologna have failed to find the net in 29% of their away games. That’s not the greatest of records, which is why they can’t get wins on the board. Neither of these two are clinical, with the hosts converting just 4% of their chances here. Meanwhile, the Rossoblu convert 7% of their shots on the road.
Neither of those records are good enough to seal survival, it’s easy to see why these two sides are in the bottom five in the Serie A standings. Both are far from entertaining, with 62% of Pescara’s home matches seeing less than 2.5 goals. Their home games see 2.25 goals scored on average, the majority of those come from the away side. Bologna are in a similar boat, with 69% of their matches this term seeing two goals scored or less.
When you take their scoring record into account it’s easy to see this being a very dull game. While either side could slip up and give away a goal, there’s not going to be that much action to get excited about. The vast majority of their games finish with less than 2.5 goals, and we’re backing that to continue. Under 2.5 goals is our tip here, at 7/10 with bet365.
