All eyes interested in League Two football will be fixated on Home Park this weekend as league leaders Plymouth Argyle host third placed and pre-season title favourites Portsmouth. As if this south coast derby needed any more spicing up it is also the first opportunity Pompey have to avenge their defeat in the play-offs last season and although Argyle went on to lose in the final they will know that they still hold the mental advantage between the sides.

This season has seen Plymouth carry over all the momentum and they currently sit at the head of the table and boast a five point advantage over their nearest rivals. Much of this success has been built on the back of an impressive home record and with Portsmouth currently out of form and struggling to get anything on the road it looks hard to imagine anything other than a home win.

That evidence from the form book is added to by the fact that Argyle have the strongest defence in the division, having only conceded nine times this term. If you then factor in that Portsmouth are hardly in impressive goal scoring form with just five goals from their last five games, then it seems clear to us which way this one is going to go.

Amazingly Portsmouth have been installed as the favourites for this one but that is excellent news for us as it means a Plymouth win is available at a ridiculous 11/5. Even the Plymouth double chance is available at a ridiculously high 4/6 so it looks like a fixture which you should be able to fill your boots with.
