Solid Leipzig can secure another victory

Leipzig can be backed to win when they host Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Wednesday. Ole Werner’s side have enjoyed success in six of their last seven home games in the league.

Leipzig are third in the league table, five places and six points ahead of eighth-placed Freiburg. Both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season, with Leipzig having nine wins and four defeats, while Freiburg have six wins and five losses.

Leipzig have avoided defeat in two of their three Bundesliga home games against other top-half teams this season, and have scored an average of 3.33 goals a game in those matches. Freiburg, meanwhile, have conceded an average of three goals a game in their three games against teams in the top four.

Leipzig will be upbeat about their prospects of finding the net. They have scored an average of 1.86 goals a game in their seven Bundesliga games against other top-half teams this season and have been impressive in front of goal at home, scoring 19 goals in seven games.

The Leipzig defence has been impressive at home this season, conceding just six goals in seven Bundesliga games – an average of 0.86 goals per game.

The visitors are looking vulnerable at the back. Freiburg have failed to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last ten Bundesliga games and have been disappointing defensively away from home this season, conceding 17 goals in eight road games – an average of 2.13 goals per game.

Leipzig to get a 3-1 home win is the call in the correct-score betting. The hosts have been two-goal winners in four of the last six head-to-heads with Freiburg.
