Struggling Salernitana host Rossoneri

Salernitana sit rock-bottom of Serie A and need to start putting a few results together if they are to mount a serious survival bid, but they look unlikely to get anything from the visit of AC Milan on Friday.

The Rossoneri have hit a bit of form with three wins in their last four games and should be able to come away from the Stadio Arechi with maximum points as Salernitana have suffered three straight losses.

Back Milan to win and concede

Milan are a short price to win here so the best option may be taking a chance on a win for the visitors with both teams scoring.

Salernitana were able to grab a goal against Atalanta last time out, losing 4-1, and they’ve only failed to score in one of their last five games – hitting six goals in total during that spell. I Granata have scored in six of the nine games they have played in all competitions since former Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi took charge in October, and as Milan have gone five games without a clean sheet on their travels and have conceded in eight of their 11 trips it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the hosts score in defeat.

Salernitana have the worst defence in Serie A with 34 goals conceded so Milan should be able to win fairly comfortably. The hosts have shipped nine goals across their last three games, so a 3-1 win for the visitors looks a reasonable correct score prediction.

Olivier Giroud has gone two games without scoring but has provided assists in both of those games and the veteran Milan striker can get back among the goals here. The Frenchman has hit eight goals in 13 Serie A outings this term, and can make the most of the chances that come his way on Friday.
