Ipswich and Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Ipswich should be spurred on after beating Sunderland in their opening Premier League fixture, but Leicester are capable of contributing to the scoring as they look to recover from a home League One loss to Burton.

      Ipswich 2-1

      Reason for tip

There have been at least three goals in five of Ipswich’s last six outings and they can come out on top of this one by a 2-1 scoreline.

      Ipswich vs Leicester City Predictions

      • Ipswich have lost just one of their last 16 matches
      • Five of the Tractor Boys’ last six games have featured at least three goals
      • Leicester have won on just three of their last 24 outings

Portman Road faithful are loving life

Ipswich got their return to the Premier League off to a great start on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Sunderland and they should be confident that they can see off League One Leicester City even if new boss Gary O’Neil elects to ring the changes for the Carabao Cup clash.

The Tractor Boys lost just once at the Suffolk base last season on their way to promotion and substitute Jack Clarke’s goal did the damage against the Black Cats, so confidence should be sky high.

They conceded a league low 17 home goals last season, but they face a team who were not as bad as their final league position suggested and will be more than hopeful of making their presence felt in this Suffolk test.

Foxes capable of getting on scoresheet

While the mood was desperate at the King Power Stadium after Leicester suffered a second successive relegation, they would have been safe had it not been for a six-point deduction.

And they were not shy in going forward as despite finishing second from bottom, Bristol City were the only team outside the top ten who better the Foxes’ goal tally of 58.

They are unbeaten in their last eight games against Ipswich and can make their mark, especially as the undoubted priority for the Tractor Boys is to stay in the top flight.

Backing the home side to win a game in which both teams score looks the best way forward and a 2-1 Ipswich win is the correct-score prediction.
