Torino vs Lazio Predictions

These two are level on points in Serie A, both are aiming to claim a place in Europe next season. They are two of many sides fighting for either the top three or top six, and at least one is set to drop points this weekend. Can Torino continue their strong start at home, or will they suffer a first defeat here of the season?

Lazio slipped up last weekend, drawing 1-1 at home to Bologna. Torino moved level on points with them, after a very impressive 4-1 win at Palermo. They’ve now won three games on the spin, which has them fourth in the table. Few expected to see them that high when Joe Hart arrived in August, can he help them to bring back European football to Turin?

Torino’s charge for a top six place is being led by forward Andrea Belotti. The forward has been in fantastic scoring form, he’s Il Toro’s top scorer, hitting five goals. He’s managed to get four in his last three matches at home, so Lazio need to keep an eye on him here. Despite his strong recent form, the front-man is 11/8 to score any time with bet365.

Belotti would be adding to a strong record for Torino here, they’ve found the net in five of their last six matches at home to Lazio. They should be able to continue their scoring streak, as they’ve averaged 2.5 goals a game in the league this season. They’ve scored at least two in their last three, hitting nine in total. While they’ve been conceding less than a goal a game so far, Hart has conceded in his last two games at home.

Lazio are impressive in front of goal themselves, scoring two goals per game away from home. Both of these teams are strong finishers, with the visitors scoring from 11% of their shots so far. The hosts are even more clinical, scoring 12% of their attempts.

We’re backing their good scoring records to continue, as we see goals in this game. There have been over 2.5 goals in Torino’s last three games, and we’re backing the same. Three or more goals in this clash is priced at 9/10 with bet365.
