Blackpool to Win

Reason for tip

West Brom are on a shocking run of three successive defeats, while they are also winless in their last six fixtures at the Hawthorns, including a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United in Carlos Corberán’s first game in charge at the weekend. Blackpool meanwhile have won back-to-back fixtures and lost just one of their last six

Blackpool 2-1

Reason for tip

West Brom’s home form is shoddy, so it is no surprise they sit bottom of the league. They have conceded at least twice in four of their last five at the Hawthorns, as well as three in a row at all venues. Blackpool meanwhile are great entertainers, scoring at least twice in four of their last five, but keeping just one clean sheet in nine

West Bromwich Albion vs Blackpool Predictions

  • West Brom are on a run of six home games without a win
  • Blackpool are undefeated in their last three matches away from Bloomfield Road
  • The Baggies have lost three in a row

Baggies struggling to find their boing

It’s been a shocking season for West Brom, and even the sacking of Steve Bruce has done little to revive their fortunes as they are on a run of three defeats in a row.

The most recent of those came on Saturday, a 2-0 reversal against Sheffield United, that makes it six matches without a win at the Hawthorns, four of which have ended in defeat.

This will be Carlos Corberán’s second game in charge and he quickly needs to revive his side’s fortunes, given they have failed to score in their last three at home and sit bottom of the table.

Can Blackpool make it three in a row?

Blackpool on the other hand have won back-to-back fixtures under Michael Appleton, a famous 4-2 derby day victory over Preston and then a come-from-behind defeat of Coventry at the weekend.

The Tangerines have also proved incredibly tough to beat on the road this season, registering three wins and three draws from their nine outings, including a current undefeated run of three matches.

Indeed, it is now just one defeat in six at all venues for the Seasiders, who are climbing the table and heading in the right direction.

I predict that Blackpool will win this game, with 2-1 my correct score prediction.
