Tip Reasoning
Gareth Ainsworth made four changes to his side last week as he searched for a reaction to a fairly poor start to the season from the Chairboys. They managed to gain a credible 0-0 draw with Blackpool, a side who seem to have finally got their act together and look like they might do well this season. Wanderers started last season like a train and after a slow start this season they already find themselves five points down on where they were last year. With summer signing Adebayo Akinfenwa now back in the team after serving his suspension for a sending off in pre-season, Ainsworth will hope his side can now start to improve their goal tally and start moving up the league.
Despite last weeks defeat to title favourites Portsmouth, Colchester have been impressive so far this season and they currently sit in fifth place in the league. The U’s went with a gameplan to upset their hosts last week and although they kept the scores level well into the second half, their resistance was eventually broken and they went home with nothing. Saturday’s match will likely see John McGreal adopt very different tactics as he will probably want his side to take the game to their opponents.
It will be an interesting test of character for Colchester on Saturday as after relegation last season and after suffering their first defeat in the league last week the question will be asked if they can bounce back. On the evidence so far this season we think that they can and with very attractive odds at 2/1 for them to do so with bet365 that’ll be where our money is going.
