Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

These two sides played out two five-goal thrillers last season and goals could be on the agenda yet again. Both teams have scored in both of their games this term, so we feel they can combine for over 2.5 goals in total.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-1

Reason for tip

Tottenham come into the game on the back of an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United and can use that momentum to win at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth have just one point to show from their two games but they have at least scored in those two fixtures so back Spurs to edge this tie with a 2-1 victory.

Dominic Solanke To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke has made a strong start to the season with a goal and an assist. The 25-year-old has taken six shots in total across his two Premier League appearances and looks a good contender to strike for the hosts here.

AFC Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in both of Bournemouth’s games this season.
  • Spurs have hit four goals across their two games.
  • The two Premier League games between these sides produced 10 goals in total last season.

Spurs looking to build on United win

Tottenham recorded their first victory under Ange Postecoglou last week with an impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester United and will be looking to follow that up with three points at Bournemouth.

The Cherries have made a reasonable start under their own new boss, Andoni Iraola, even if they have just one point to show from their two games.

Goals markets the obvious starting point

These two sides played out two 3-2 thrillers last season, with both teams winning their away games, and goals could be on the cards again in Saturday’s early kick off.

Both teams have scored in both of Bournemouth’s games and the fact they managed to strike at Anfield suggests they can find a way through against Spurs.

Tottenham opened the season with a 2-2 draw at Brentford and followed that up by scoring twice against Manchester United, so these two sides should be able to combine for at least three goals.

Rare away win for Spurs

Tottenham struggled on the road last season, particularly in the latter stages as victory at Leeds in their final trip ended a run of nine winless games on their travels.

Spurs were held to a point at Brentford in their season opener but should go into this game full of confidence after their victory over United.

The Cherries lost four of their final five home games last term and their wait for a win under Iraola looks set to stretch beyond this weekend. A 2-1 win for the visitors seems a reasonable correct score prediction as Spurs have scored exactly twice in both of their games and Bournemouth have scored one goal in both of theirs.

Picking out a Spurs scorer here is a tricky task as their four goals have been scored by three different players, none of which are forwards, and an own goal. However, James Maddison is worth a mention for an assist if you are planning a bet builder as he has managed two in two games and is averaging four key passes per-game.

Instead, Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke gets the nod for an anytime goal as he has made an impressive start to the campaign with a goal against West Ham and an assist against Liverpool – as well as averaging three shots per-game across those two appearances.
