      Cardiff vs Everton Predictions

Cardiff’s hope of remaining in the Premier League took a big blow on Friday as they were demolished at the hands of Watford, with their 5-1 defeat undoubtedly crushing morale around the Cardiff City Stadium.

This ended their rather brief 2 match winning streak in the top flight which leaves them teetering on the edge of the Premier League relegation zone, sitting a point above Southampton.

Neil Warnock and his men will be desperately hoping to get back to form against an Everton side who are performing below expectations at the moment. The visitors brought in some big names over the summer, and with new manager Marco Silva, many of the Goodison Park faithful were hoping for a big turnaround after their miserable time last term.

The Toffees’ playing style may have changed for the better, but the results haven’t necessarily followed suit. Their 1-0 loss to Watford a couple of weeks ago puts them 11th in the table, now 7 points adrift of a 7th place finish, which could potentially carry Europa League qualification.

That loss to Watford hasn’t been the only disappointment recently either. In fact, Everton have won just 3 of their last 14 Premier League matches and were eliminated from the FA Cup at the hands of Millwall in the 4th round. They have lost 8 of these 13 recent top flight games too, including each of their last 3.

Everton’s form doesn’t suffer much away from home, but that is a very pale silver lining on a threatening looking cloud. They have still only won 2 of their last 9 league away days and have lost 6 of them. They’re facing a Cardiff side who have won 5 of their last 10 Premier League games at home too, although that thrashing on Friday will have brought morale down significantly.

Marco Silva’s side have managed to score in 8 of their 13 league away games this season, but they have only kept 2 clean sheets at the other end. Cardiff, meanwhile, have scored in 6 of their last 8 at home but have only kept 4 clean sheets this term. For this reason, a bet of Both Teams to Score looks a great option, and we’re also tipping the spoils to be shared with a 1-1 correct score prediction.
