      Crawley Town vs Norwich Predictions

After a disappointing defeat, Crawley built some momentum ahead of this big game by beating Leyton Orient on the road on Saturday afternoon. Gabriele Cioffi’s men will now be hoping to beat Norwich, who’ve made an eye-catching start to life in the Premier League.

Crawley extended their run of scoring at least twice on Saturday afternoon, as they twice came from behind to get the better of Leyton Orient away from home, scoring multiple goals for the fourth match in a row. They’ve not always got it right, but by adopting a cavalier approach, the Red Devils have made a decent start to the season, while they’ve made light work of entertaining the crowd.

They are up against Premier League opposition, though Crawley, who’re averaging 1.8 goals for and 2.06 expected goals for in League Two, aren’t likely to alter their approach too much. In front of a what should be a buzzing home crowd, Gabriele Cioffi’s men will fancy themselves to do some damage going forward.

Norwich are likely to make more than just a few personnel changes on Tuesday, though their approach, which is also an attacking one, is unlikely to change. In fact, as manager Daniel Farke has been unrelenting with the way he sets his team up to play, it certainly won’t.

Given that both Crawley and Norwich have favoured open, attacking football this season, ‘Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score’ stands out as a viable option, one that should probably be slightly shorter.

Crawley have created lots of chances and scored lots of goals this term, but they’ve also left themselves open to attack, keeping zero clean sheets in five League Two games, which doesn’t exactly bode well ahead of a match against Premier League opposition. In the Carabao Cup last term, Norwich scored plenty of goals, notching nine goals in three matches, but their very open style meant that they also conceded plenty, shipping six in three. Three of those six came in away games against Wycombe Wanderers, who created a mammoth 3.9 expected goals for, so Crawley getting competitive in the final third is far from beyond the realms of possibility.

‘Correct Score’ punters might try a 2-1 win for the visitors. Crawley’s early-season efforts suggest that they can certainly hurt what should be a weakened visiting side, though Premier League Norwich, even if not at full strength, should have enough about them to outscore a home side that has been somewhat easy to breach over the last few weeks.
