Aberdeen vs Ross County Betting Tips & Predictions

Aberdeen’s season is coming to a disappointing close. After matching Celtic’s pace for much of the season they finally ran out of steam and the current champions started to pull away from them at the top of the table. The title was finally mathematically sealed when Aberdeen visited Celtic needing a huge win to stand any chance of catching them, but instead they came away on the end of a 3-2 defeat.

This was followed by a 1-0 loss to Hearts on Thursday to make it four defeats and one win from their last five outings. Fortunately for them they were already well clear of Hearts in 3rd position, so despite their awful form they have no chance of slipping down the table on the last day of the season.

Ross County managed to claim a spot in the top half of the Scottish Premiership before the split for the final five gameweeks, but they have found it difficult competing against the top five.

They have only won of of their last eight in the Scottish Premiership and haven’t won a match since the split. Four of these eight games have been defeats, leaving them in 6th position with no chance of movement on the final day of the season. Had this been a regular end to the season Ross County would actually find themselves down in 9th position as the three top teams of the bottom half of the table have better record than them at the moment. Fortunately for Ross County you can’t move outside of your half after the table splits.

Aberdeen will be keen to end their season on a high on Sunday, but I don’t think it will be particularly easy for them. Ross County have only lost one of their last six away games in all competitions and have managed to score in all of them. Aberdeen have only managed to keep one clean sheet in their last six home matches and lost last time out against Hearts. This makes odds of 13/20 look decent value for Both Teams to Score, so I’m backing that along with one of Ross County’s trademark 1-1 draws on the road at 13/2.
