Angers vs Monaco Predictions

Angers Defying Expectations

It has been a strong Ligue 1 season for Angers so far, sitting sixth in the table and just three points behind Lens who are in fifth. They have proved hard to beat, falling to defeat on just three occasions.

Yet, while they are not losing many, they are also draw specialists. Gérald Baticle’s side have already played out seven stalemates. They are finding it difficult to see games out, letting a lead slip in three of the last five.

They are generally tight at the back though. Angers have conceded just eight goals in seven home games, a run that includes four clean sheets.

Monaco Drawing Too Many

Like Angers, Monaco are drawing a lot of matches. In fact, four of their last five matches have ended in stalemates, while they have failed to score in three of the last six.

Niko Kovač’s side have in fact failed to score in any of their last three away matches, while they have kept just one clean sheet on their travels in Ligue 1.

This game could well end as a stalemate, so it is worth having the insurance of the draw no bet market. But I also think it is worth backing Angers to get the win in that market, and to do so by a narrow 1-0 margin.

Their form, particularly at home, is much stronger than what Monaco have managed, so I predict they will keep up their solid start to the campaign.
