Gunners to extend perfect start to Europa League

An emphatic second half showing in Norway last week saw Arsenal all but secure the top spot in Europa League Group B, but they’re expected to maintain their perfect record at the Emirates on Thursday.

The Gunners may be struggling in the Premier League, but they have won all four Europa League outings so far and just need a point to mathematically seal the top spot. They have scored 12 goals across these four games and conceded just two, but one of those was against Rapid Vienna and the Austrians could threaten Arteta’s back line again.

Rapid Vienna have scored in each of their last six competitive outings and have failed to find the net in just one of their four group games this season. Their last two Europa League outings have seen them score seven in back-to-back fixtures against Dundalk, while Arsenal come into this having conceded six goals in their last five competitive games.

We’re fully expecting the hosts to win here, but with both teams scoring in three of Rapid Vienna’s four group stage games adding both teams to score into the mix looks a shrewd opportunity.
