Aston Villa vs Bournemouth Betting Tips & Predictions

Aston Villa just look to be counting down the days until the end of the season at the moment. They were pretty much confirmed as relegated long ago, but with every week that goes by they edge closer towards mathematical relegation.

They are currently 15 points adrift of safety with just 18 points left to play for before the end of the Premier League season, so they would need to win five of their remaining six games and have all three teams above them collapse in order to remain in the top flight.

Winning one of their remaining six looks a leap too far at the moment, let along five of them. They have lost their last seven matches on the bounce in the Premier League, with their most recent home encounter seeing them thrashed 4-0 by an inexperienced Chelsea line up.

Bournemouth also lost 4-0 last weekend, with Manchester City providing a flurry of early goals to put the game to bed when it had only just started. This made it back to back defeats for Bournemouth, but they will be hoping for more on Saturday. Their losses have come against the likes of Spurs and Manchester City, and before that they had won three on the bounce against Southampton, Newcastle, and Swansea.

This has kept them in the Premier League almost certainly. They currently reside in 13th position in the table with an 11 point cushion over the relegation zone. They can count this season as a job well done now, but they will be wanting to end on a high and avoid the season petering out too much.

I don’t think there is any saving Aston Villa at the moment, and every match they enter in to looks as if a defeat is waiting for them at the final whistle. This is no exception, and I think odds of 6/5 for a Bournemouth Win are excellent value. I’m going for a 2-0 correct score prediction as well due to the fact that Aston Villa haven’t scored in their last four outings.
