Nice’s away struggles to continue in Auxerre

Two teams that are desperate for a victory meet at Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps on Saturday as Auxerre entertain Nice.

Auxerre are enviously looking up at the rest of the Ligue 1 table after three defeats in three. Will Still is back in France, but he has once again struggled in the dugout and his side have conceded 11 goals in three outings.

To their credit, Auxerre have netted four times, but they will struggle to break Nice down.

While Nice have had problems on the road for 12 months, they have at least been tough to beat this time around. Olivier Pantaloni’s side claimed only three wins in 17 away matches last season, and their issues were mainly down to their struggles in front of goal.

Nice netted just 18 away goals last term, but two draws in three suggests they are at least trying to tighten up at the back.

Four of the last seven head-to-head meetings have finished level, with three of those ties finishing 1-1 and a repeat of that looks good value this weekend.
