      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Blackpool and Plymouth Argyle both concede far too regularly to trust either defence. Plymouth have scored in 12 straight games but have also let in goals in seven on the bounce. Blackpool have shipped 44 in 30 and are without a clean sheet in three. Five of Blackpool’s last seven and Plymouth’s last three have landed BTTS, and this has all the same ingredients.

      Blackpool vs Plymouth Argyle Predictions

Goals on the cards at Bloomfield Road

Plymouth have scored in 12 consecutive games and both sides are likely to score again when they visit Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday. Five of Blackpool’s last seven League One games and Plymouth’s last three have seen goals for both teams.

Plymouth are 16th, one place above Blackpool in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. The visitors have won 11 and the hosts nine of their 30 games, while both have suffered 15 defeats.

Blackpool have won just one of their last seven League One matches, while Plymouth’s recent form has been inconsistent, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six games.

Blackpool threw away a late lead to draw 2-2 with Huddersfield in their last League One game, having taken the lead twice through Ashley Fletcher and Karoy Anderson. They have now avoided defeat in four of the 17 games this season in which they have conceded first (24%). This was a decent point for Blackpool, who had been 18/5 outsiders to win the game.

Both teams have been struggling defensively of late, with Blackpool failing to keep out their opponents in three straight League One games and Plymouth conceding at least one goal in each of their last seven matches. Blackpool have conceded 44 goals this season in League One – an average of 1.47 goals conceded per game from 30 games – while only two other teams have shipped more than the 46 that Plymouth have let in.

Both sides have found the net in Plymouth’s last three League One matches and in five of Blackpool’s last seven. Plymouth won 1-0 last time these two met in League One, but both teams to score has been a winning bet in five of Blackpool’s last seven games.

There should be goals in this encounter, with six of Blackpool’s last eight League One games featuring over 2.5 goals. A 2-1 home win is the correct-score pick, with Blackpool just edging out Plymouth.
