Bolton vs Ipswich Predictions
Things are looking really bleak for Bolton now. Just when it looked like they could yet drag themselves out of the mess they found themselves in, Neil Lennon’s side have gone on a poor run which has seen them pick up just 1 point from their last 5 Championship matches. They’ve lost their last 3 games, all by a single goal against Birmingham, Burnley and last time out Leeds at Elland Road. Most of their rivals have picked up a few wins during that period and Bolton find themselves a huge 10 points shy of safety with only 11 games to go and unless they win this, things are beginning to look really helpless.
To make matters worse they play Ipswich at a time when the Tractor Boys just seem to have found themselves again after a difficult run when it looked like they could completely drop out of top six contention. They have won 1-0 at Huddersfield and 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest in their last two matches and will be going for a 3rd straight win here. They are in 9th place but are only 1 point outside the top six and have a game in hand on Sheffield Wednesday in 6th and Cardiff in 7th so Ipswich are well placed to make a late charge into the play-offs.
A couple of weeks back this might have looked like a game Bolton could have won but considerably less so now. They have fought bravely in the face of tremendous problems off the pitch but it felt a bit like some of the spirit was taken out of them when they threw away a 1-0 lead to lose late on against Burnley in their last home game. Ipswich have won 9 of their 20 away games this season in all competitions which is an impressive record and up against a Bolton side that have won just 4 league games all season, the visitors look the more likely winners. Therefore consider backing Ipswich Draw No Bet at 4/6.
