      Rotherham to Win

      Reason for tip

Rotherham are a strong pick to beat Bolton at home. Despite Bolton being higher in the table, their inconsistent form and defensive issues give Rotherham the edge. Having won their last two home games against Bolton, Rotherham are well-placed to secure another victory.

      Rotherham 2-1

      Reason for tip

A 2-1 home win for Rotherham is the ideal correct-score prediction. Five of their seven League One victories this season have been by a single goal, and Bolton’s defensive vulnerabilities increase the likelihood of this narrow outcome.

      Rotherham vs Bolton Predictions

      Millers can secure the points

Steve Evans’ Rotherham are well worth backing to get the better of Ian Evatt’s Bolton at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Bolton are six places above Rotherham in the table, but they are only tenth and 16th respectively. The visitors have 11 wins, four draws and eight defeats, while the hosts have won seven, drawn seven and lost nine of their 23 games.

Bolton’s recent form has been inconsistent, with two wins, one draw and three defeats in their last six League One games. They came from behind to win at Exeter 2-1 last week, but had previously lost 2-1 at Mansfield on New Year’s Day.

The visitors’ defence is far from watertight, with Bolton failing to keep a clean sheet in their last two League One away games and Rotherham will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.

Rotherham have won their last two home games against Bolton and are worth backing to get the hat-trick up against the same opponents. Rotherham may be able to edge out Bolton, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick, with five of Rotherham’s seven League One wins this season having been by a single goal.
