Brazil vs Colombia Predictions
- Brazil have now won each of their last nine games, keeping a clean sheet in eight of those.
- Colombia have failed to score in their last three games.
- The hosts are undefeated against Colombia in all of their previous six meetings.
Selecao to continue soaring high
Brazil are absolutely flying. They sit top of the table, are undefeated and boast a near-perfect record of 10 wins and one draw from their 11 games. That single draw did actually come against opponents Colombia in the reverse fixture as the two sides played out a 0-0 draw, however.
Tite’s men are impressive across the park, though. The 26 goals they have scored is a record high in the group and they have, astonishingly, conceded just four goals in their 11 games. They need just a point to secure at least a playoff spot, but if they win and Uruguay fail to win their next game, the Seleção will qualify for the World Cup.
Colombia, to their credit, have made a habit of not losing games as they are unbeaten in all of their previous seven games. However, five of those have been draws and failure to turn those into victories leaves Colombia with it all to do if they are to qualify from an exceptionally tight group. Their lack of cutting edge up front has cost them time and time again and they need to become more clinical if they want to progress.
Victory on the mind for Tite’s men
Brazil will be eager to claim victory and possibly achieve an early qualification. They should have far too much for a Colombia side who struggle to score and so we think Brazil will dominate, be patient and pick off their opponents here without conceding. A 2-0 win for Brazil wouldn’t be a surprise.
