Brazil to wrap up 100% record in Group B

Brazil will want to wrap up the Copa America group stage with a 100% record and they can do just that in Goias this Sunday, to potentially send opponents Ecuador packing from the competition.

We saw a different side to Tite’s Brazil on Thursday as they had to graft hard to fight back from a goal down against Colombia, but they ultimately prevailed 2-1 thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino and Casemiro – the latter arriving in the tenth minute of stoppage time.

After a string of nine previous victories which also yielded 28 goals and eight clean sheets, it was in many ways more impressive to see Tite’s charges win the hard way and they’re going to be mightily difficult to stop at this tournament going forward.

Ecuador are without a win in their last five starts (D2, L3) and face an early exit from the tournament should they lose in Goias and Venezuela manage to earn at least a point from their final group fixture against Peru.
