Brest vs Lorient Predictions

Brest have enjoyed success in three of their last four home games in Ligue 1 and they should be backed to get the better of Lorient in a Breton derby on Saturday.

Lorient are three places above Brest in the table, with a five-point advantage. Ninth-placed Lorient have won seven, drawn seven and lost six of their 20 games this season, while Brest are 12th with six wins, five draws and nine defeats.

Lorient have been disappointing in front of goal away from home this season, scoring just seven goals in ten games – an average of 0.70 goals a game on the road.

For their part, Brest to get the 2-0 home win looks a decent correct-score option. Two of their six wins in Ligue 1 this season have been by a two-goal margin, while two of Lorient’s six losses have also come by two goals.
