Celtic vs Dundee Predictions

Celtic missed out on the chance to further increase their Scottish Premiership lead at the weekend as they drew away to the struggling Hamilton Academical. 2nd placed Aberdeen also drew against St Johnstone, meaning the gap between Celtic and their challengers remains at six points.

Celtic’s draw at Hamilton was the 3rd time in five matches that they have failed to win, but at Celtic Park it’s a different story. They have won five matches on the bounce on home turf and scored a huge 17 goals in the process.

Dundee are in decent form though. They are unbeaten in seven matches in all competitions and have taken themselves to 6th in the Scottish Premiership table. They are only one point behind 4th placed St Johnstone too, so they still have a chance of reaching Europe next season.

However, this form has largely been built around their home performances. Away from home they have only won one of their last 11 outings and have lost three of their last six. Additionally, Dundee have failed to score in each of their last three away days, so they will find it tough against the best defence in the Scottish Premiership.

The hosts have only conceded eight goals on home turf all season in the league, and Dundee are averaging just above a goal per game on the road. I think the visitors will find it really difficult at Celtic Park, and Celtic are huge favourites to win the match outright. This makes odds of 4/5 for Celtic to Win to Nil good value for money, and an efficient 2-0 correct score prediction is looking likely too.
