Crawley Town vs Bury Predictions

Following their relegation from League One last season, Bury will have been hoping for a strong start to the campaign as they bid to win their place back in the third tier at the first attempt. This weekend they travel to face off against a Crawley Town side who have had a pretty difficult start to the campaign so far.

The hosts started the season in pretty good fashion as they saw off a Cheltenham side who have since struggled in a 1-0 away win. However, since that point it has been all downhill for the Red Devils and although they were able to claim a point last time out, defeats at the hands of Stevenage, Bristol Rovers and Port Vale means it has not exactly been the start they will have hoped for.

Bury have also struggled so far this term and although they started the season well with a 1-0 victory over Yeovil Town, a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the MK Dons pegged them back. Although they were able to lead for much of the match with Nottingham Forest in the League Cup, they eventually succumbed to their Championship opposition and lost via a penalty shoot-out. Another draw followed against Forest Green Rovers, but they came up short against Lincoln City last time out.

With neither side showing much in the way of form at the moment, we would advise against backing anything on the win-draw-win market. Instead, we think that the hosts will want to put on a show for their home fans and will go on the attack from the off. The visitors put on a strong show midweek against Lincoln before being reduced to 10 men and they should be able to find the back of the net once again. With this in mind, we think that backing both teams to score is the way to go.
