Derby vs Oxford United Predictions

Derby have enjoyed five straight Championship successes at home and they should be backed to continue their winning run when Oxford visit Pride Park on Saturday.

They are eighth in the league, 14 places and 19 points above Oxford. They have won 18 of their 42 games this season, while Oxford have just ten wins.

The hosts are in fine fettle. Derby have lost just one of their last seven home games in the Championship.

They will be hopeful of getting on the scoresheet here. They have scored in eight of their last nine league games, and it is now five Championship games since they last failed to find the net.

Oxford have won six of their 34 games as an underdog this season, and backing them in those matches would have resulted in a 9.20-unit loss.

They have conceded on each of their last four Championship road trips and have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last nine league games.

A narrow 1-0 win for Derby appeals as the correct score. Five of Oxford’s last six Championship matches have produced under 2.5 goals, and 12 of Derby’s 18 wins this season were by a single goal, with the same number of Oxford’s reverses coming in that fashion.
